Uncle Cheffy

Uncle Cheffy
Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig
Nuvali

We tried this restaurant because we wanted to satisfy our craving for Panizza and C (http://reservedfortwo.blogspot.com/2011/07/c-italian-dining.html) is just too far. It came close. But Casa Nostra's panizza is much better (http://reservedfortwo.blogspot.com/2011/11/casa-nostra.html). However, Uncle Cheffy, offers other choices that are awesome as well.

 Uncle Cheffy Burgos Circle branch.

Here is what we ate so far...

Fried Peking Duck Style - Hoisin sauce saves every dish!

Asian Fried Rice - can this beat yang chow for us? YES!

Spaghetti Alejandro - Spanish-inspired pasta with tomato sauce, smoked chorizo, pimiento and Edam cheese

New England Pot Roast Beef - With root vegetables, carrots and string beans
Meat was super soft! Nice!

Uncle Cheffy Salad - Crispy pork belly, asparagus, potato and mesclun in dijonnaise dressing
Something new. :)

All meat barbecue platter - Combination of Chicken Leg, Lamb Breast, Beef and Pork Ribs served with BBQ sauce, chimichurri and tomato salsa
HEAVEN ON EARTH FOR MEAT LOVERS!

Panizza!!! They have different choices. You can get two kinds in one order in their Burgos Circle branch. Sulit!

Verdict:
- A bit expensive but taste is worth it
- I suggest you visit their Burgos Circle branch because it's very relaxing there. Especially for people working at Fort!
- If you're going with your friends, best to order their platters and Asian rice. Then get one order of their panizza. SOLVED! :)

Serenitea

Serenitea
Burgos Circle
Jupiter Street
Greenhills
Banawe
sereniteakitchen@gmail.com
https://www.facebook.com/iloveserenitea

Another milk tea store that we are addicted to now because there's a branch near our house is...SERENITEA! :) The difference with Serenitea and Happy Lemon is the selection of milk tea's in the former varies and all taste great. Happy Lemon has one great drink and that's only what we crave for, but as for Serenitea, you get excited on the variety of drinks you can choose from.

Here is the branch in Greenhills.

Let us show you our top picks.

HOKKAIDO

NAGASAKI

MALTY CHOCO

STRAWBERRY TOFFEE

YAKULT GREEN APPLE

BLACK DRAGON - literally chuck is black :))

TARO

YUMMY drinks! Try em out! They also have food in case you want something to munch on.

Forgot the name of this, but anyway, it doesn't taste good. Makunat is the best description for this.

Their version of mojos. Really good with the drinks because this dish is salty.

Chicken chops. Goes great with the drinks as well because of it's taste. You can also eat the leafy things.

VERDICT:
- Serenitea will always be part of our weekly habits because the Jupiter branch is soooo accessible. You don't have to worry about parking or waiting too long.
- Price is just like other milk tea stores
- Great drink for chilling with friends and cooling down on a hot day.
- We tried the hot version of nagasaki and it tastes just as great as the cold one. :)
- Will definitely come back....maybe later. :)

Bugsy's Bar and Bistro

Bugsy's Bar and Bistro

Unit C 105 City Golf Plaza, Julia Vargas Ave. Pasig City, Metro Manila
489-4985
Unit 1 Paseo Park View Tower, San Agustin St. cor. Sedeno St. Salcedo Vill. Makati City
501-5203

Discovered this place while I was looking for a party location for Chuck's graduation suprise party. His family was going to attend so I couldn't pick Bugsy's just because it wasn't homey and had yuppies as it's market. We did get to try it during my brother and his girlfriend's anniversary. Yep! Chuck and I tagged along. The last time I went to this restaurant was in Makati to visit my sister. She worked nearby. The one in Ortigas is next to the City Golf Range, so Chuck likes it there.

That's him putting. Anyway, here's their menu. They have a lot of food to choose from. Just read the description and you'll be craving for all in no time!

Here is what we ordered. For starters, we tried the Buffalo Wings. Taste is okay. Have tasted better Buffalo Wings though. Chicken is well cooked.

We also tried the Marco's Honey Garlic Tenders. This dish is to crave for! It is really good. Serving is big too. They were very generous with the sauce. It was served hot and crispy. YUM!

Another starter that we ordered is from their new menu called Salmon and Green Coral Salad. Salmon was good, but the salad lacked sauce for me. You'd have to scrape the plate to get sauce on your greens. Serving was also small for the price. Salmon nowadays are pricey, I guess?

On to the main courses. We ordered something light: fish and chips - battered dory fish fillet, fries, lemon butter sauce. Loved their lemon sauce! Fish was too soft for me, but good nonetheless. It disintegrates the moment you put your fork in it.

We also ordered Grandma's Country Fried Steak - breaded steak, mashed potatoes, country gravy. This dish is okay. I'd rather have the Honey Garlic Tenders with the rice.

For the last main dish, we ordered this pasta. Forgot the name. Seems like Carbonara to me. It was a normal tasting dish.

We also ordered their famous Lychee Martini. I liked it when I tried it Citygolf, but I hated the one in Salcedo. Too strong.

Chuck got his usual. Jack Daniel's :)

Congratulations to the couple! We borrowed the hats of the waiters. :))

Verdict:
- Definitely a place to eat and drink with friends.
- A bit pricey but food is good. Catch happy hour until 8pm for their buy one take one promo on selected drinks!
- Will definitely come back for the other food on the menu and for the Marco's Honey Garlic Tenders. :)

Dinelli Gourmet

Dinelli Gourmet
Forbes Town Center, Bellagio 2 Burgos Circle corner Rizal Drive, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila
666-3544

For my 21st birthday, I wanted to celebrate with my family over lunch because I had a plane to catch at 5pm to Cebu. I suggested we go to Burgos Circle and just look around for restaurants there. While walking around, my mom and I spotted a nice little restaurant named, Dinelli Gourmet.

The had only a few on their menu, but they seemed appetizing.I just had to take a picture of their plate because it's really cute.

For starters, we ordered the Dinelli House Salad. I don't know if it's just salad that's why it was forgettable, but yea it was.

For sharing, we ordered two pizzas. First is the Arugulla. It was okay. Didn't eat the leaves though. We were expecting the conventional pizza but we were given this. Small serving.

The other pizza we ordered, which we all loved is the Cuattro. Sorry if we forgot the name. They had such strange names. Nonetheless, we loved this dish! I just had to swipe clean the plate.

We ordered Italian Carbonara for yaya. Had a few of this just to give a proper verdict. haha It looks really good. However, it didn't taste anything special. It was a bit too oily as well. but, they gave a good amount of serving. :)

My sister and I shared the Pesto Pasta. The pesto lacked taste for me considering I've tasted a lot of Pesto pastas from different restaurants already. I do love the fact that they used this twirly pastas instead of the spaghetti ones. Have to commend the chicken on top. It was perfect tasting.

My brother's wife, Sheryl, ordered the Bolognese. Our favorite pasta dish from the ones we tasted! Really tasty. They weren't greedy with the sauce and cheese on this one!

Mama ordered the Pepper Cheesesteak. She didn't like it. Said that the beef tasted weird. It was okay for me...so i finished her food.Wouldn't go back for this dish, but hey it was okay. They served really good fries though with this one.

And last but definitely not the least, my brother ordered the Shrimp and Sirloin. Warning: this dish is really pricey but I'm telling you it's worth it! Best dish I had out of all the above. Every part of the dish is heaven from the potato, to the shrimp, to the meat. Perfect. Wasn't a fan of the gravy, but didn't need it in this dish! Will definitely go back for this dish!

Enjoyed with my family. :) Other brother couldn't go because he had chicken pox! Boo! Look at Joaquin! He's so gwapo. :)

Verdict:
- Date type of restaurant
- Food is pricey
- Would come back for the shrimp and sirloin! Yum yum!
