Uncle Cheffy

Uncle Cheffy
Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig
Nuvali

We tried this restaurant because we wanted to satisfy our craving for Panizza and C (http://reservedfortwo.blogspot.com/2011/07/c-italian-dining.html) is just too far. It came close. But Casa Nostra's panizza is much better (http://reservedfortwo.blogspot.com/2011/11/casa-nostra.html). However, Uncle Cheffy, offers other choices that are awesome as well.

 Uncle Cheffy Burgos Circle branch.

Here is what we ate so far...

Fried Peking Duck Style - Hoisin sauce saves every dish!

Asian Fried Rice - can this beat yang chow for us? YES!

Spaghetti Alejandro - Spanish-inspired pasta with tomato sauce, smoked chorizo, pimiento and Edam cheese

New England Pot Roast Beef - With root vegetables, carrots and string beans
Meat was super soft! Nice!

Uncle Cheffy Salad - Crispy pork belly, asparagus, potato and mesclun in dijonnaise dressing
Something new. :)

All meat barbecue platter - Combination of Chicken Leg, Lamb Breast, Beef and Pork Ribs served with BBQ sauce, chimichurri and tomato salsa
HEAVEN ON EARTH FOR MEAT LOVERS!

Panizza!!! They have different choices. You can get two kinds in one order in their Burgos Circle branch. Sulit!

Verdict:
- A bit expensive but taste is worth it
- I suggest you visit their Burgos Circle branch because it's very relaxing there. Especially for people working at Fort!
- If you're going with your friends, best to order their platters and Asian rice. Then get one order of their panizza. SOLVED! :)

One day, I forced my brother to visit me at work during lunch. We were looking for a place in Pasong Tamo extension near my office that had parking. We couldn't walk because of the heat. We decided to park in ecoplaza and just look for a place there. When we got out of the car in the parking lot, we immediately smelled pizza. YUM. We went down to follow the smell and it lead us to Casa Nostra. Incidentally, Dreamwalker also recommended this restaurant. See the post at http://www.dreamwalkersworld.com/2011/09/craving-italian-food-casa-nostra-is.html

It was a fine dining type of restaurant. We weren't dressed for it at all! People there were in coats and leather shoes! haha It was hard picking from their menu because you wouldn't want to make a mistake in ordering especially with the price.

For starters and a free treat, they gave a basket of bread. This is same level as Outback's free bread! It was warm and soft. You don't need the sauce. YUM!

We ordered pasta. I forgot the name. I think it's Penne Salcissie, but again not sure. Taste is not unforgettable though. Really good dish because serving of sauce and cheese on the pasta were a lot but the right amount.

For the must try in this restaurant.......PANIZZA - toppings of truffle cream sauce, artichokes, chopped olives, arugula and alfalfa sprouts! I must say, I think this can beat C's famous Panizza! This dish is another heavenly dish! Credits to the chef. :)

Enjoyed good food in this restaurant with my brother and his girlfriend.

Verdict:
- Date type of restaurant so I will definitely bring Chuck here next time!
- Price is okay considering taste. I suggest to not go here during lunch breaks in the office because food takes quite awhile to cook
- Will definitely come back for that Panizza!!! It's a version of C's here in the metro. :)

C' Italian Dining

C' Italian Dining
1210 Don Juico Avenue, Brgy. Malabanas, Angeles City
Open from 11:30am to 12midnight everyday
Better to reserve than travel all the way and not have a table. ;) - (045) 8924059

This is the signage of the very popular restaurant in Pampanga. It's right across SM Clark.  Chuck reserved a week before so that we won't waste gas and time traveling all the way to Clark. It was roughly an hour's drive from Manila. There is parking outside, so no worries.

Menu full of promising dishes. Here is what we tried....

Thyme Crusted Salmon Fillet - Big serving which is surprising for a salmon dish. One of the best salmon dishes we've tried.

Kristina Panizza (bacon, ham, caramelized onions, mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes) - This is the dish we were excited to taste because it's the restaurant's specialty. True enough, it did not disappoint at all. Wish there is a good panizza place here in Manila...any suggestions? :)

-- panizza = a fine crisp dough layered with a blend of five different cheeses and herbs, perfected with your favorite toppings

Caesar Salad - Same same. Only difference is the freshness of the vegetables. Careful when ordering this as an appetizer because again their servings are huge. Guess that's where they insert the value for money in their dishes.

and here we are enjoying the experience with wine. :)

Verdict:
- "Date" Restaurant
- Service can be improved. Waiters were not that friendly. We don't know if there were too much people or they are just not minding us.
- Food is expensive (worth it for special occasions)
- Will come back soon!
