Toast Box

Toast Box
Rizal Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig
Mon-Thurs: 8:00am - 1:00am
Fri: 7:00am - 12:00am
Sat-Sun: 9:00am - 9:00pm

Toast Box is a Singaporean-Malaysian inspired restaurant. It's really cute and clean inside.

Food is good but expensive.

Here is what we ate...and drank!
 Our favorite!!! MILO DRINK!!!!

Milk tea - it's good as well. Legit kind

Of course we had to try their toast. Really yum. Could use more crispiness. Great with egg!

Just ikya and her clumsy self.

Forgot what it's called but we're not really a fan.

 Normal chicken meal.

Loved the rice!

Verdict:
- Yum food but expensive.
- Will definitely go back for their milo and milk tea drinks!!! :)

Wingkings

Wingkings
Bonifacio Global City - Shell Stop Over fronting Ford Global City and Mercedes Benz Fort adjacent to St. Luke’s

I have my usual cravings for wings. When I was in taft, it was easy because Flamings Wings was just a few steps away. When Manang's came in Mercato, I just had to wake up early during weekends so there's not much people lining up. When Wingman came in The Collective, I can wake up in the middle of the night, ride a tricycle and have myself a dozen of wings. But what if I was in the office and I had the craving?

One lunch time, an officemate mentioned that he wanted to try Wingkings. I said let's go instantly! I couldn't believe there was a wings place near my office! And I was right. It isn't near when you walk it! Here they are. They come in different flavors and dips.

You can order a meal. chicken and rice.
Or a wings set. Just more chicken with no rice.

They have potato wedges as well as other sidings.

Verdict:
- A bit expensive for lunch during office hours (imagine doing this everyday. bankrupt!)
- Wings are decent. But it doesn't beat Manangs or Flaming Wings for us.

New Orleans

New Orleans
Bonifacio High Street
Resorts World

Stumbled upon this restaurant in BGC with my sister. Tasted their nachos and just had to keep on coming back for more!

The Mississippi Seafood Chowder - Manila clams, smoked bacon, potatoes, cream, seafood broth

Mardi Gras Nachos - BEST NACHOS EVER!!

Forgot what this is called. I think croquettes.

Salad

New Orlean's Famous Baby Back Ribs - Served with same ol' dirty rice and slaw. YUM!

Baked and Blackened Chicken

Black pasta with clams. At first it tasted weird. But I learned to love it! Different take on pasta. :) They should lessen the garlic a bit.

Shrimp poppers - love it coz it's crispy.

Forgot this as well. Their menu online is not updated either. But Chuck and I love this pasta! We ate it for dinner one time. SOLVED!

Bananas Foster Cheesecake - Graham crusted cheesecake, caramelized bananas, banana liquer and rum

Verdict:
- Price is good for serving and taste
- We never fail to order the nachos! MUST TRY! :)
- There ribs are decent. You can order one full slab for three people already.

Wee Nam Kee

Wee Nam Kee

Ayala Triangle Gardens, Makati Ave. Bel-Air, Makati City
846-8924
Serendra, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig

If you love Singaporean food, this is the place to go and eat! I've never really tried Singaporean food before, but I had to when we went to Singapore to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday. And when I did try it, I craved for it up to Manila. THANK YOU TO WEE NAM KEE for satisfying my cravings. :)

Here is what we ate.

Chicken Rice

Personal Set - if you're eating alone, this is worth it.

 Spinach

Hong Kong Fried Noodles - it tastes yummy as it looks
Cereal Prawns - my mom's favorite! The "cereal" can be eaten alone with rice! YUM!

Honey Crisp Squid - my brother's favorite! MUST TRY!

Chilli Crab - served with Mantou bread below

YUM!!! wish we had condensed milk!

Marmite Pork Ribs - happiness in every bite!

Just my brother enjoying the chilliness of the crab.

Verdict:
- No questions asked. We will definitely come back to this restaurant!
- Price is very reasonable! Better to eat here with friends/family so you can taste different dishes.
- This restaurant has become our go to for COMFORT FOOD!
- More power to Singaporean dishes!

Mercato

Mercato
34th Street corner 8th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City

We are addicted to weekend markets because these places are where we get to try different types of food...sometimes at an affordable price and sometimes not so. We were "Salcedo marketers" and when this new food market came in, we decided to give it a shot. We think what separates Mercato with the other weekend food markets is that it gives people especially teenagers a place where they can hang out before or maybe after their weekend gimmick. Very evident during Fridays where you see girls in dresses and heels and boys in polos.

Of the many times we've been here below are our top choices.

Verdict:
- Manang's chicken is the best!!! Followed by the Yankee burger. YUM!
- Better to go here in groups so one or two can save a table and the others buy food. Too much people!!!
- We wish they get more vendors to add variety.

Jamba Juice

Jamba Juice
7th Ave cor 29th Ave, Fort Bonifacio
Taguig City, Metro Manila
https://www.facebook.com/jambajuiceph

One Sunday morning, after accompanying my sister-in-law to the newly opened Mother Care store in High street, we went to try out the newest juice place, Jamba Juice. Chuck and I first saw their billboard in EDSA on the way home. The first thing that came to our minds was, here we go again with these drinks, more addiction to come! Here is Jamba Juice....yes it's full!

They have a lot of space for non-smokers and smokers, which is great! They're the only store in the High Street extension, so it's not hard to find.

This is how they prepare the juices. :)

This is what we tasted so far. :)

 Banana Berry Classic Smoothie
Our favorite smoothie!

Mango-a-go-go Classic Smoothie
Didn't like this because it was too sour. Didn't suit our sweet tooth!

Berry Topper
Healthy goodness! Loved how the banana matched the taste of everything!

 Sourdough Parmesan Pretzel
Lacked taste for us, but it is filling.

Spinach and Cheese Breakfast Wrap
Lacked taste for us.

Sweet Belgian Waffle
SUPER YUM!!!

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
I hate oatmeal, but this one tastes GREAT! :) They ask you if you want sugar on top, of course I said yes. BUT, if you really want to go healthy, this tastes fine without the sugar. :)

Blueberry and Blackberry Oatmeal
Carla's choice. :) Good as well!

Enjoyed it with the fam bam! :)

Verdict:
- Something to shake up the Milk tea craze in Manila
- We love the healthy-ness of their food and drinks
- Prices are reasonable considering the serving. We ordered large and it was huge!
- This is the only restaurant ikya ate oatmeal! so thumbs up to them!
