New Orleans

New Orleans
Bonifacio High Street
Resorts World

Stumbled upon this restaurant in BGC with my sister. Tasted their nachos and just had to keep on coming back for more!

The Mississippi Seafood Chowder - Manila clams, smoked bacon, potatoes, cream, seafood broth

Mardi Gras Nachos - BEST NACHOS EVER!!

Forgot what this is called. I think croquettes.

Salad

New Orlean's Famous Baby Back Ribs - Served with same ol' dirty rice and slaw. YUM!

Baked and Blackened Chicken

Black pasta with clams. At first it tasted weird. But I learned to love it! Different take on pasta. :) They should lessen the garlic a bit.

Shrimp poppers - love it coz it's crispy.

Forgot this as well. Their menu online is not updated either. But Chuck and I love this pasta! We ate it for dinner one time. SOLVED!

Bananas Foster Cheesecake - Graham crusted cheesecake, caramelized bananas, banana liquer and rum

Verdict:
- Price is good for serving and taste
- We never fail to order the nachos! MUST TRY! :)
- There ribs are decent. You can order one full slab for three people already.

Uncle Cheffy

Uncle Cheffy
Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig
Nuvali

We tried this restaurant because we wanted to satisfy our craving for Panizza and C (http://reservedfortwo.blogspot.com/2011/07/c-italian-dining.html) is just too far. It came close. But Casa Nostra's panizza is much better (http://reservedfortwo.blogspot.com/2011/11/casa-nostra.html). However, Uncle Cheffy, offers other choices that are awesome as well.

 Uncle Cheffy Burgos Circle branch.

Here is what we ate so far...

Fried Peking Duck Style - Hoisin sauce saves every dish!

Asian Fried Rice - can this beat yang chow for us? YES!

Spaghetti Alejandro - Spanish-inspired pasta with tomato sauce, smoked chorizo, pimiento and Edam cheese

New England Pot Roast Beef - With root vegetables, carrots and string beans
Meat was super soft! Nice!

Uncle Cheffy Salad - Crispy pork belly, asparagus, potato and mesclun in dijonnaise dressing
Something new. :)

All meat barbecue platter - Combination of Chicken Leg, Lamb Breast, Beef and Pork Ribs served with BBQ sauce, chimichurri and tomato salsa
HEAVEN ON EARTH FOR MEAT LOVERS!

Panizza!!! They have different choices. You can get two kinds in one order in their Burgos Circle branch. Sulit!

Verdict:
- A bit expensive but taste is worth it
- I suggest you visit their Burgos Circle branch because it's very relaxing there. Especially for people working at Fort!
- If you're going with your friends, best to order their platters and Asian rice. Then get one order of their panizza. SOLVED! :)

Cold Stone

Cold Stone
Orchard Road, Singapore

We were on our way home when my Mom saw ice cream and just had to stop. At first, I didn't want to get any because I was too tired and I didn't want to get anymore fat than what we achieved during our stay in Singapore, but she insisted so we found ourselves inside.

Here is their menu.

Kristel and Mama lining up.

Ice cream Selection

Waffle selection. Either plain or chocolate. You know what  I chose.

Our order! EXTREMELY SINFUL AND DELICIOUS.

Verdict:
- Remember what I said about me not wanting to buy because it's fattening? Well the next day, I got one again. It's that good.
- CRAVING'S LIST.

Concorde Hotel Singapore

Concorde Hotel Singapore
100 Orchard Rd  Singapore 238840
http://singapore.concordehotelsresorts.com/

We celebrated Mama's 50th birthday in Singapore last December 2011. It was such a great experience for all of us. It was our first time and we are now living testaments that Singapore really is a very clean city! Let's give it a couple more years before it gets overpopulated! Boo. Because we are in a new city, we had to try their food! Our first dive is at our hotel, Concorde Hotel. They didn't serve much Singaporean food though, but their breakfast is okay. The problem is that they don't change their menu! So if you stay there for four days like us, you'll be having the same breakfast for four days! Yes they have a lot of offering, but you know us Pinoys...first meal in a buffet and we already tasted everything! Haha

I got to take a few shots of the buffet table before I got really shy because people had to stop getting food for me to take a nice photo. haha

Here are our poorly plated plates!

My sister and brother with their mouths full

Verdict:
- Does not beat Heat at Shang...definitely! haha
- Since there's free breakfast, might as well eat what they serve right? It's still food anyway. It will get us until lunch time. :p
- They have friendly attendants though. Very alert.

Hao Hong Kong Diner

Hao Hong Kong Diner
27 Canopus St cor Jupiter St., Makati City
(02) 478-3927

A new restaurant at the end of Jupiter Street is on its soft opening. We found out about it because it's a sister restaurant of Good Earth Roasts. Hao, however, has more food on their menu. Of course, they also serve alcohol. The only problem with this restaurant is the parking. They only have 2 or 3 slots in front of their restaurant. The rest can park on the streets, but we all know how Jupiter gets when it's Friday and Saturday and Fiamma kids arrive....chaos.

Here is what we ate.

 Fried Rice

Wet Fried Rice - Just fried rice with soup. We prefer this than the "plain" fried rice

 Noodles

 Pork

Maling Chips - YUM!

And our bill served in a casket. haha

Verdict:
- Good place to hang out with friends
- Reasonable price
- Service is slow but we can forgive them since they are still on their soft opening
- If they remove Good Earth in Rockwell, you know where to find us next. :)
