Jamba Juice

Jamba Juice
7th Ave cor 29th Ave, Fort Bonifacio
Taguig City, Metro Manila
https://www.facebook.com/jambajuiceph

One Sunday morning, after accompanying my sister-in-law to the newly opened Mother Care store in High street, we went to try out the newest juice place, Jamba Juice. Chuck and I first saw their billboard in EDSA on the way home. The first thing that came to our minds was, here we go again with these drinks, more addiction to come! Here is Jamba Juice....yes it's full!

They have a lot of space for non-smokers and smokers, which is great! They're the only store in the High Street extension, so it's not hard to find.

This is how they prepare the juices. :)

This is what we tasted so far. :)

 Banana Berry Classic Smoothie
Our favorite smoothie!

Mango-a-go-go Classic Smoothie
Didn't like this because it was too sour. Didn't suit our sweet tooth!

Berry Topper
Healthy goodness! Loved how the banana matched the taste of everything!

 Sourdough Parmesan Pretzel
Lacked taste for us, but it is filling.

Spinach and Cheese Breakfast Wrap
Lacked taste for us.

Sweet Belgian Waffle
SUPER YUM!!!

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
I hate oatmeal, but this one tastes GREAT! :) They ask you if you want sugar on top, of course I said yes. BUT, if you really want to go healthy, this tastes fine without the sugar. :)

Blueberry and Blackberry Oatmeal
Carla's choice. :) Good as well!

Enjoyed it with the fam bam! :)

Verdict:
- Something to shake up the Milk tea craze in Manila
- We love the healthy-ness of their food and drinks
- Prices are reasonable considering the serving. We ordered large and it was huge!
- This is the only restaurant ikya ate oatmeal! so thumbs up to them!

Marciano's

Marciano's
2/F Greenbelt 3, Ayala Center
Makati City, Metro Manila
Philippines
(02) 729-0467
It was the birthday of Ikya's sister and to celebrate, we ate dinner at Marciano's. The area in Greenbelt 3 is too crowded, but the restaurant looked promising...or so we thought. Let's start with the ones we liked.

 Joey' Tribbiani Meat Lasagna

Goodfellas Mozzarella

And the ones we're not crazy about.

Verdict:
- It's sad this restaurant didn't provide us with a dish that will make us come back

One lazy Sunday, we felt the urge to some pizza. We got tired of the ones we had close to home so we went around to search for a pizza place and came across Joey Pepperoni in Fort. We ordered the following for take out.

Pepperoni - Since we will be sharing the food with family, we ordered something safe, ergo, pepperoni.

Luka- Topped with pesto cream, shrimps, garlic, and onions
Because ikya loves pesto, we had no choice but to order this. IT IS GOOD!

Taco - Taco seasoned pizza with mozzarella, beef toppings, tomatoes, white onion, and cheddar cheese
Chuck's Choice!

Verdict:
- Fort branch is a great place to hang out with friends.
- Pizza is great. We still have to taste their pasta and other dishes.
- Food is cheap and good so far. :)

Lorenzo's Way

Lorenzo's Way
G/F Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center
Makati City, Metro Manila
Phone: (02) 729-0047 / 729-0013

Business hours: Monday – Sunday / 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM ; 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM
http://ljcrestaurants.com.ph/lorenzos-way/

Chuck's parents were here during the weekend because they had to go to Subic for an auction, so it was food galore for us! They loved the ambiance Lorenzo's Way had so we gave it a shot. Oh, and you might find us arguing about which dishes we liked better. Here is their menu.

And this is what we stuffed ourselves with.

Mediterranean Seafood Soup - this is new in their menu! It's tomato based so Chuck wasn't a fan, but i liked it. :) It could have tasted better if they put more seafood.

Binacalao - Local salted fish slow cooked with tomatoes, potatoes, chickpeas, and black olives prepared the Spanish way

I preferred this over the Callos.

Callos -  Stewed tripe, tomato, chorizo and chickpeas, from Salana restaurant

Chuck preferred this over the Binacalao.

Crispy Baby Squids - Baby squid fried until crispy, served with a sweet chili sauce, from Bistro Remedios

Yum crispy goodness!

Vegetable Au Gratin - another new dish in their menu. Lacked taste for me but serving size is perfect.

Paella Valenciana - Seafood and meat done the classic Spanish way, from Mil Novicientos

One of the best paellas I have ever tasted.

Angus Top Blade Steak

Yummy steak considering the price. The gravy made the dish work.

Salted Egg Crab

Great crab! Sauce could improve though on it's "chilliness".

Lengua Estofada - Tender beef tongue simmered in a wine sauce with mushrooms and olives, served with rice, from Cafe Adriatico

Chuck loves lengua. I hate lengua. Go figure.

U.S. Black Angus Rib Eye Steak al Ajilo - US rib eye pan fried with shitake and button mushrooms sauce

Most expensive dish we bought, but it's really worth it. Steak tastes great with or without the garlic.

Verdict:
- Family/date type of restaurant
- Price is reasonable
- Place provides perfect ambiance
- LJC group did it again! :)

Stackers Burger Cafe

Stackers Burger Cafe
Eastwood, Metrowalk, Newport Mall, The Venice Piazza

The only branch we didn't get to try Stackers is in Metrowalk, just because we don't go there. =)) They serve really good burgers. :) But I guess the downside to it is that they only have a few selection.

Here is what we've tried so far.

Crispy Chicken Burger - Boneless crispy breaded chicken which comes with mayo mustard dressing on a regular size bun

Pepper Burger - Lettuce, mayo, pepper crusted patty, mozzarella cheese, tomato, sauteed mushrooms, pepper steak sauce, onion bits topped with crispy fried strips

Philly Cheese Burger - Quarter pound beef patty with sauteed sweet peppers, onion rings, mozzarella cheese smothered with ranch dressing on a long bun

BBQ Burger Bowl - Burger in a bowl

Fish and Chips

Coke. haha

Verdict:
- Great food! Burgers are great, but the philly cheese burger and fish and chips can be avoided. =))
- Family/barkada type of restaurant
- Price is okay
- Must try is the burger bowl. Unique food of stackers. :)

Bamboo Cafe - Anvaya Cove

Bamboo Cafe
Tel. No.: +632 793 - 9000
http://www.anvayacove.com/

For the long weekend last October, my orgcom mates decided to hit the beach in Subic! Good thing our friend is a member there so there was no problem getting in Anvaya Cove. It's a really nice place. Kudos to Ayala land!

After swimming, we all got hungry and decided to eat in the restaurant there. Looking at the menu and the buffet table, we all know which one Chuck and I chose....buffet!!! We spent P450 each for the buffet. Compare this to their menu that offers food that costs P250 and above, we felt the buffet is the better choice. Here is what we ate.

You can say "sinnulit" namin yung buffet. :)) Too bad we didn't get to take pictures of the dessert! The brownie is YUM!

Here is our picture before we stuffed ourselves.

Orgcom group

Verdict:
- Anvaya Cove is quite far, but if you want to go to the beach with less people, Anvaya is a great option (if you know someone who is a member)!
- Food is okay. Because chuck and I ate a lot, P450 each is sulit!
- They need to improve their tempura though. it tasted like batter.

Directions to Anvaya Cove: (taken from their website)
1. Take the North Luzon Expressway.
2. Then take SCTEX Exit (Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway)
3. Take Subic Exit
4. Enter Subic via Subic-Tipo Toll gate
5. Once inside Subic, follow the Anvaya road signs. If there aren't any, follow the signs to “Morong Gate”.
6. Keep driving until you reach Morong Gate.
7. Just stick to the road until you reach the entrance of Anvaya Cove.
