Stackers Burger Cafe

Stackers Burger Cafe
Eastwood, Metrowalk, Newport Mall, The Venice Piazza

The only branch we didn't get to try Stackers is in Metrowalk, just because we don't go there. =)) They serve really good burgers. :) But I guess the downside to it is that they only have a few selection.

Here is what we've tried so far.

Crispy Chicken Burger - Boneless crispy breaded chicken which comes with mayo mustard dressing on a regular size bun

Pepper Burger - Lettuce, mayo, pepper crusted patty, mozzarella cheese, tomato, sauteed mushrooms, pepper steak sauce, onion bits topped with crispy fried strips

Philly Cheese Burger - Quarter pound beef patty with sauteed sweet peppers, onion rings, mozzarella cheese smothered with ranch dressing on a long bun

BBQ Burger Bowl - Burger in a bowl

Fish and Chips

Coke. haha

Verdict:
- Great food! Burgers are great, but the philly cheese burger and fish and chips can be avoided. =))
- Family/barkada type of restaurant
- Price is okay
- Must try is the burger bowl. Unique food of stackers. :)

Mr. Kurosawa

Mr. Kurosawa
G/F Eastwood Mall Veranda, Eastwood City, Libis Quezon City
901-0825

It was a Friday night and the girls and I decided to keep it chill, so no partying..just dinner and life talks. :) Since Joh and Cat had work until around 7 and their offices are near Eastwood, we decided to have dinner there. I couldn't pass up the chance of being near a Happy Lemon branch and not buy, so I bought my favorite drink before seeing the girls.

We decided to eat at Mr. Kurosawa since Tracy's Japanese food addiction just started. I first discovered this place in Resorts World. They have a really good interior designer - eye-catching.

Their menu is sooo heavy.

Here is what we ordered. It was a night full of sushi. :) The classic California Roll. It would have been normal if not for the crab stick salad on top of the sushi and the salad on the side.

Crunchy tuna roll. This is my least favorite of all the sushi. It didn't taste like anything special. The crunchiness added edge to it though.

Favorite sushi is the Monte Carlo! It had cheese on it. Must try. :) I can never get enough of cheese!

I decided to order something not of the sushi menu and the thing that caught my eye is the Bacon wrapped Dory. Taste did not disappoint. Dory was very soft, bacon added saltiness to it, and the sauce matched the whole dish.

Since Cat and I felt hungry, we also ordered Japanese Fried Rice to eat with the Dory. YUM! My yang chow of Japanese food. :)

Enjoyed with my girls. :)

And our fashion poses. :))

Verdict:
- Japanese food with a twist
- Felt their menu is the same as it's other sister restaurants, but with a different name
- Price is a bit on the high side. So go here with a full wallet or else you'll end up not ordering the food you really want to try.
- Hoping that it will serve something not with the same food group as it's other sister restaurants
- Overall, a good food experience. :)

Happy Lemon

Happy Lemon
G/F Promenade, Greenhills, San Juan
4/F Eastwood Mall, Libis, Quezon City
2/F Archaeology Wing, Power Plant Mall, Rockwell Center, Makati

"What is all this commotion about milk tea???" That's how we used to view this big phenomenon in Manila. Everything changed when we came across Happy Lemon at Greenhills.

MY ULTIMATE FAVORITE DRINK IS COCOA WITH ROCK SALT AND CHEESE and EXTRA CHEESE! Haha! This drink beats all my cravings! It's the middle and the right most drink below. :) The one on the left is Green Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese. That's my sister's favorite. I personally don't like Green Tea in general. I've also tried the Coffee with Rock Salt and Cheese. Still hands down to Cocoa even though I'm a coffee drinker.

Chuck and I tried the Lemon Yakult as well. He loved it. :) It's the one on the right. Of course, I ordered Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese again. :)

A friend of mine, Tracy Ayson, introduced this drink to me and I will forever be grateful. :) Read her blog on Happy Lemon here: http://tracyayson.tumblr.com/post/8994917398

Here's a picture of their buzzer when you order a drink from them. It's cool because you can walk around the mall and not have to stand by the restaurant. You still get your drink on time. :)

Verdict:
- Best Milk Tea restaurant for us compared to Cha Time and Serenitea to name a few.
- Price is reasonable.
- Service is fast given the long line in GH.
- Will always come back! Hoping for the Rockwell branch to open soon!! The closer the better!

One Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese a day, makes the bad vibes go away. ;)
